The following periods of service qualify for Post 9/11 GI Bill Eligibility 
  • Honorable Active Duty Service of at least 90 days aggregate (combined) after 9/11.
  • Honorable Active Duty Service of at least 30 consecutive days after 9/11 where the Service Member received a Medical Discharge. Note that this does not apply to Service Members who receive a Medical Discharge from Active Duty Orders Title 10 U.S.C. 12301(h).
  • Honorable Service 90 days or more under Title 32 section 502(f) in Support of Operation Noble Eagle from September 11th, 2001 to May 31st, 2002. DD 214 OR ORDER MUST HAVE ABOVE NOTATION TO QUALIFY

 

The following constitutes Active Duty Service for Ch 33 purposes:

  • Honorable service in an Active Component
  • Honorable Active Duty Service performed under Title 10 U.S.C. 672(d), 688, 12301(a), 12301(d), 12301(g), 12302, or 12304. 
  • Honorable service performed as a Title 32 AGR Soldier
  • Honorable Service 90 days or more under Title 32 section 502(f) in Support of Operation Noble Eagle from September 11th, 2001 to May 31st, 2002. DD 214 OR ORDER MUST HAVE ABOVE NOTATION TO QUALIFY
