The following periods of service do NOT qualify for Post 9/11 GI Bill Eligibility

 o FULL-TIME NATIONAL GUARD DUTY PERFORMED UNDER TITLE 32 ORDERS FOR ACTIVE DUTY FOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (ADOS) OR ACTIVE DUTY FOR SPECIAL WORK (ADSW)

o ANY ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE 10 SEPTEMBER 2001

o ACADEMY SERVICE--THE FIRST 5 YEARS OF ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE FOLLOWING COMMISSIONING FROM 1 OF THE MILITARY ACADEMIES

o RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS (ROTC) SCHOLARSHIP--THE FIRST 4 YEARS OF ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE FOLLOWING COMMISSIONING. HOWEVER, THE 3-YEAR ADSO FOR NON-SCHOLARSHIP ROTC COMMISSIONS, OCS, AND DIRECT COMMISSION OFFICERS IS QUALIFYING SERVICE FOR DETERMINING POST 9/11 GI BILL ELIGIBILITY.

o STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM (SLRP)--ACTIVE DUTY ONLY THE FIRST 3 YEARS OF ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH OF THE INITIAL SERVICE OBLIGATION

o SERVICE THAT WAS TERMINATED BECAUSE THE A SOLDIER WAS A MINOR, WAS ERRONEOUSLY ENLISTED, OR RECIEVED A DEFECTIVE ENLISTMENT AGREEMENT

o A PERIOD OF SELECTED RESERVE SERVICE USED TO ESTABLISH ELIGIBLITY FOR ENTITLEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 30 OF TITLE 38

o ANNUAL TRAINING CONDUCTED UNDER AUTHORITY OF 10 U.S.C. SECTION 10147 OR 12301(B)

o INDIVIDUAL READY RESERVE (IRR)
