Soldier & Airmen Support Services Mission:
To provide personnel, administrative, transitional support, and life balance skills support to units, Airmen/Soldiers, Retirees, and Family Members within or formally within the North Carolina National Guard.
 
J9 Soldier & Airmen Support Services provides support to units, Soldiers/Airmen, and Families throughout the entire Deployment Cycle (Before, During, and After) and Retirees upon transition from the NCNG.

The NCNG IBHS is professionally staffed, voluntary, abides by rules and regulations concerning ethics, confidentiality statutes and is free.
 
SERVICES
· Telephonic and in-office Clinical and Non-Clinical Needs Assessments
· Crisis intervention and free telephonic or in-house transitional counseling support
· Commander/NCO/Battle Buddy/Family Member consultation on behavioral health issues of persons of concern by professionally licensed staff
· Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD)
· Wellness and Subject Matter Expert (SME) trainings (at Yellow Ribbon, drill and other group events)
· Benefit (insurance) determination and behavioral health resource identification
· Clinical referral, connection and case management services regardless of duty status or ability to pay
